DOC' has been a student of music for most his life. His love for it is the essential element that deeply roots his passion to enjoy the art of DJing. Legendary DJ's/Producers such as Jazzy Jay, Charlie Chase, Marley Marl, Premier, Pete Rock, Kerri Chandler, David Morales, ,Blaze, M.A.W., have been a necessary source of inspiration in keeping that passion alive. The culture of Hip-Hop has also allowed him the musical experience, giving a broad range of diverse blends & styles to his craft. Being a young student of the culture made him dabble in Djing, Mcing, Dance, & Art. His choice was music & dance. The desire became stronger as he noticed that most of the jocks weren't providing the music he listened to & was inspired by. 'Once you become a DJ, you have no other alternative but to start making your own beats & mixes. So he did. Doc began creating his own blends of breakbeats & funk cds just to get a response from his peers. Surprisingly, he joined a group of friends (Magnificent Force, Rock Steady Crew, Rhythm Technicians) to form the Ghettoriginal Dance Company. Together, they created the 1st HIP HOP THEATRE PRODUCTION entitled, 'Jam On The Groove, which laid the foundation for ALL(let me put anotha ALL in there 4 those that just flew past that) Hip-Hop theatre productions to follow. In 'Jam', he lent his hand in the music production, as well as choreography. 'This was a great experience because I was exposed to the most incredible dancers, and had to make sure their solo music was on point. Dont sleep, he also has spun at clubs such as Nells, Silver Shadow, Crobar, Bar13, The Cooler, Flamingoes, Club Shelter(HDC), & Club Shampoo (Philly) to get a good feel for crowds with particular tastes. As long as there is a connection with the crowd, and you know your music(BE CLEAR-HE PLAYS ALL STYLES OF MUSIC) the vibes should just flow accordingly. Doc continues to cultivate his skills by incorporating all styles of music ranging from Hip-Hop, Soul, Funk, Classics, & Breaks. His broad range has landed him as the resident DJ for a monthly event called The House Dance Conference, dedicating itself entirely to the music and the dance. In addition to creating and arranging music: Red Bull Contest 05(4 the record, the german group that performed to it won) London, Tribal '05 Collective Dvd, he has also spread out to DJ for some of the many Dance events- Freestyle Sessions( '04) , Rock Steady Anniversary's funk style jam entitled, 'For The Funk Of It' ,& 'Unity & Respect2'(Boston), Step Ya Game Up 1 & 2(NY),Dance Delght(NY), Bust A Move(Montreal) . . He is always preparing to lay 'funk', or breakbeat groundwork for any upcoming jam/contest or show where poppers or b-boys need to hear their music flipped & diced Blenfreq style.. ....
